What you will do

• Develop backend and on-device software for a wide variety of IoT platforms and technologies.
• Own technical designs and feature implementations end-to-end, from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Quality Engineering to deliver high-impact automation features.
• Research and apply new technologies to solve challenging project goals in the smart-home domain.
• Write coherent, organized code within a complicated codebase with high levels of abstraction.
• Actively contribute ideas to product development rather than following rigid specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend engineering skills in building and maintaining REST or GraphQL HTTP APIs.
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
• Strong database fundamentals, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Kraków office.

Nice to have

• Experience with C#, .NET Core, and enterprise-scale microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of MicroPython, assembly, or other low-level programming languages.
• Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven/distributed system design.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in using AI-assisted development tools effectively.
