Product Specialist, Alternative Investments (AVP)

What you will do

• Originate, source, select, and conduct due diligence on open-ended and closed-ended private market funds, maintaining an opportunity pipeline.
• Support discretionary and advisory portfolio management, including investment performance monitoring, reporting, eligibility reviews, and follow-up actions.
• Lead fund onboarding and distribution workstreams covering financial, operational, tax, legal, regulatory, and internal approval requirements.
• Review and negotiate agreements, offering memoranda, and other legal documentation while liaising with legal, compliance, tax advisors, and service providers.
• Prepare operational processes for subscriptions, closings, capital calls, distributions, corporate actions, reporting, marketing materials, and risk disclosures.
• Present private market strategies to front-office staff and clients, prepare investment memos, lead product innovation and strategic partnerships, and participate in cross-departmental projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in asset management or private banking as a product specialist, including client engagement and customer experience.
• Strong investment background and solid knowledge of alternative investment products.
• Ability to present investment ideas to varied internal and external audiences and clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes.
• Proven analytical and data analysis capabilities, with exceptional communication and writing skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Self-starter attitude, strong attention to detail, adaptability to tight deadlines, and a strong team-player orientation.
• Undergraduate or graduate education from a prestigious institution, specializing in finance, accounting, or another analytical field.

Nice to have

• Experience drafting detailed investment analyses.
• Experience or interest in developing skills with Power BI or other business intelligence platforms.
• CFA or CAIA qualification.
