AI/ML Engineer

What you will do

• Develop, train, deploy, and maintain machine learning and AI solutions focused on NLP, LLMs, generative AI, and related use cases.
• Design generative AI applications using LLM APIs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, feature selection, classification, and model optimisation.
• Research and improve machine translation quality through evaluation methodologies, targeted studies, and human and automatic assessment.
• Manage data quality and integrity, including data rules, cleansing, validation, and bias detection and mitigation.
• Build automated anomaly detection and monitoring for data and model performance.
• Design technical architectures and implement MLOps and AI governance practices covering CI/CD, model monitoring, drift detection, retraining, and compliance.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field and at least 8 years of experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and R, with practical experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, spaCy, and NLTK.
• Expertise in machine learning algorithms, generative AI, SLMs, LLMs, and NLP systems.
• Experience with AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Studio, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, data cleaning, data lifecycle management, Agile methodologies, and AI solution development lifecycles.
• Experience with machine translation quality assurance, BLEU and related metrics, testing methodologies, and human evaluation.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SQL, Hive, Pig, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, D3, or ggplot.
• Experience with corpus-based linguistics, alignment models, large-scale data analytics, data lakes, MLflow, or Kubeflow.
• Knowledge of responsible and secure AI, AI cybersecurity, AI risks, AI Act requirements, bias mitigation, and model explainability.
• A relevant AWS, Microsoft Azure, or SAS AI and machine learning certification.
