Release Engineering Intern (DevOps)

TL;DR

Release Engineering Intern (DevOps): Improving and automating software build, test, and release systems with an accent on CI/CD platform modernization and AI-driven app building. Focus on migrating modules from Maven to Bazel and building reusable pipeline libraries for R&D engineers.

Location: Hybrid (Tel Aviv, Israel). Must be based in Tel Aviv with a requirement to be in the office three days a week.

What you will do

• Improve automation for continuous integration, testing, packaging, and releases.
• Participate in a major build modernization effort by migrating hundreds of modules from Maven to Bazel.
• Build reusable pipeline libraries and automation tools for both human engineers and AI coding agents.
• Analyze CI/CD metrics to identify and resolve slow builds and recurring bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot failures in builds, Jenkins agents, artifacts, and containers.
• Develop tests, monitoring, and documentation to ensure dependable release workflows.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience working in a Linux environment and using Git.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket/GitHub, Bazel, Gradle, or Maven.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or infrastructure automation.
• Experience using AI coding agents and basic familiarity with LLM APIs, including understanding token usage and context limits.

Nice to have

• Experience building or maintaining shared CI/CD pipelines used by multiple teams.
• Hands-on experience with production infrastructure, release engineering, or DevOps in a professional or open-source project.
