Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

TL;DR

Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning): Building and deploying production-ready ML models and scalable data products for a unique global marketplace with an accent on real-time predictions and advanced statistics. Focus on implementing robust code for large-scale data processing and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to identify new ML use cases.

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal (minimum 2 days a week in the office)

What you will do

• Build production-ready ML models using robust and scalable code.
• Explore mobile and web data to identify and solve real-world business problems.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and UX designers to identify new ML use cases.
• Deploy scalable models using Kubernetes on cloud infrastructure for real-time and batch predictions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members to unblock them and introduce new techniques.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an all-around data scientist.
• Strong quantitative background in statistics, ML, or sciences.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Proven experience deploying ML models serving real-time responses at scale.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with PyTorch, Tensorflow, LightFM, or Spark.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Google BigQuery, Airflow, or Kafka.
• Ability to extract insights from very large datasets with minimal engineering support.
