What you will do

• Architect, develop, and manage the data platform to support efficient ingestion, transformation, quality assurance, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement specific data needs.
• Manage data governance, including the implementation of data catalogs, IAM, and metadata management.
• Build tools that enable internal customers to find, access, and investigate data for various use cases.
• Ensure the scalability and complexity of data flows throughout the company.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a data engineering role, preferably in a fast-paced tech environment.
• Strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and software engineering best practices.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and HCL (Terraform).
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data services (CloudRun, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataform).
• Experience with BI tools and their integration into modern data setups.
• English: C1 (Very good spoken and written knowledge) required.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with IoT applications and streaming data processing (e.g., GCP Dataflow, Apache Beam, Apache Flink).
• Experience working in a scale-up environment.
• Interest in the climate tech industry.
• Knowledge of German.
