What you will do

• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML models for spatial data, focusing on object segmentation and semantic scene understanding.
• Own production-level architectural choices, data preprocessing, and performance optimization on large-scale datasets.
• Design rigorous, evidence-driven systematic evaluations to guide model selection and improvements.
• Diagnose, debug, and enhance ML systems to solve complex behavioral issues in production.
• Adapt and fine-tune state-of-the-art models to extract maximum value from high-fidelity spatial data.
• Collaborate with computer vision, graphics, and full-stack engineers to implement ML capabilities as user features.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of experience applying machine learning to real-world problems.
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Solid foundation in linear algebra, geometry, and machine learning.
• Experience with spatial data, specifically point clouds, images, or video.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model based in Munich, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++.
• Familiarity with Vision Transformers, Segment Anything models, or Grounding DINO/CLIP.
