Sr. Principal Embedded Systems Security Architect (Embedded Security)

What you will do

• Define security architectures and security-by-design approaches for advanced SoCs and secure embedded systems.
• Translate security requirements into hardware, firmware, and software security mechanisms.
• Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and root-cause investigations across the product lifecycle.
• Assess security architectures and identify weaknesses before products reach the market.
• Develop next-generation security features and secure IP blocks while supporting security certifications and compliance.
• Collaborate with product development teams, security architects, customers, and certification laboratories, and mentor engineers on secure design and verification.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of SoC, IC, or embedded system architectures.
• Experience with embedded system design and secure hardware/software interaction.
• Knowledge of security principles and secure development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Reliable and conscientious work practices for security-related tasks and certification activities.

Nice to have

• Experience in embedded or semiconductor security architecture, cryptography, hardware security mechanisms, or security IP development.
• Experience with side-channel analysis, fault injection, secure boot, root of trust, key management, or secure provisioning.
• Experience with embedded-system vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL, and security verification and validation methodologies.
