What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of machine learning scientists to deliver production-grade ML solutions for ranking and recommendations.
• Define and drive the end-to-end ML roadmap, from problem formulation and data strategy to productionization.
• Set and enforce best practices for experimental design, A/B testing, and causal inference to ensure statistically robust decisions.
• Collaborate with data and software engineering teams to ensure models are scalable, resilient, and well-integrated into APIs and pipelines.
• Mentor and coach ML scientists through technical guidance and career development to foster a culture of scientific rigor.
• Apply AI/ML concepts and GenAI-based solutions to real-world products across multiple lines of business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent.
• 8+ years of professional experience and 3+ years of people management experience.
• Strong expertise in modern ML methods for ranking and recommendation with solid programming skills.
• Substantial experience leading end-to-end ML initiatives including feature engineering and offline evaluation.
• Proven experience managing ML scientists or applied researchers across multiple products or services.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (E-Verify participant)

Nice to have

• Experience with natural language search and refinement of recommendations.
• Expertise in multi-modal recommendations involving images and unstructured text.
• Track record of delivering large-scale ML solutions in high-traffic environments.
• Experience with GenAI and agentic techniques to unlock new product experiences.
• Ability to raise the technical bar through publication-quality analyses and reusable modeling frameworks.
