Salary: $81,052 – $96,491 per year

What you will do

• Inspect, repair, and maintain diesel locomotives, including running gears (wheels, springs, hangers, and brake rigging traction motors).
• Test and restore brake systems, safety appliances, couplers, air compressors, and fuel systems.
• Install, disassemble, assemble, and replace locomotive diesel engine components.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions in diesel engines, air equipment, and trucks.
• Operate within a safety-sensitive environment under diverse and extreme weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be able to work without company sponsorship (H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, TN, etc.) now and in the future.
• Ability to report for duty at the designated work location in Kansas City, KS.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work at various heights.
• Ability to visually distinguish colors and differentiate verbal/non-verbal sounds.
• English: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
