What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize a multi-threaded and distributed physical synthesis core engine within the Innovus Implementation System.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex software programs specifically in the area of physical synthesis.
• Collaborate with a global R&D team to implement cutting-edge synthesis solutions.
• Partner with product engineers and technical sales to provide engineering workarounds and solutions for customer success.

Requirements

• Must be based in or authorized to work in San Jose, USA.
• Strong professional experience in C/C++ software development in a Linux environment.
• Extensive knowledge and usage of data structures and algorithms.
• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of physical synthesis algorithms and timing analysis.
• Prior R&D experience with IC physical design tools.
• Hands-on experience with design closure and physical design flows.
• Experience with Tcl or other scripting languages.
