Staff Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Staff Quality Engineer (Aerospace): Ensuring the highest standards of product and process quality for make and buy products with an accent on design, production control, and product evaluation. Focus on conducting product failure investigations, designing inspection processes, and leading program corrective action meetings.

Location: Orlando, FL. Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Secret security clearance. Part-time remote telework is available.

What you will do

• Drive quality excellence across all aspects of product development from design through delivery.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain on quality-related issues.
• Conduct product failure investigations and lead Material Review Board (MRB) and Failure Review Board decisions.
• Design and analyze inspection and testing processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity.
• Perform audits and assessments to identify and correct quality system deficiencies.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience.
• Experience in quality engineering within electronics and manufacturing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP and/or APRISO.
• Expertise in GD&T and AS9102 interpretation and application.
• Green or Black Belt Certification.
• Experience with proposal and sustainment processes.
