What you will do

• Own end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion and transformation to validation and delivery.
• Architect scalable data models, partitioning, and clustering strategies for datasets ranging from terabytes to petabytes.
• Make architectural decisions within GCP and BigQuery, focusing on partitioning, clustering, and cost/slot management.
• Develop and maintain complex queries and reporting within legacy enterprise environments using SQL Server, stored procedures, and SSRS.
• Build automated data monitoring, reconciliation, and quality-assurance frameworks to ensure data integrity.
• Integrate and champion the use of AI tools (e.g., Claude) to streamline development and improve delivery quality.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Advanced hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
• Strong proficiency in advanced SQL for complex query development and performance optimization at scale.
• Active experience working with legacy systems, specifically SQL Server and SSRS.
• Intermediate-level Python for automation and data processing.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.
