TL;DR

Landscape Architect: Serving as a critical connector between campus planning and facilities operations to ensure long-term stewardship and lifecycle performance of public realm assets. Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (hirify.global Campus)

Salary: $8,554.25 - $13,340.92 CAD Monthly

What you will do

  • Act as the principal liaison between planning, design, and operational teams to ensure maintenance feasibility and lifecycle performance.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and capital renewal strategies for landscape and urban forestry assets.
  • Oversee the design development, construction drawings, and specifications for landscape renewal projects.
  • Represent Municipal Services on development review committees to ensure institutional interests are protected.
  • Monitor construction projects for design intent and ensure accurate operational handover.
  • Manage project budgets, cost estimates, and reporting for landscape infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects.
  • Minimum of six years of related professional experience.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders including planners, academic staff, and trades.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nice to have

  • Experience in urban design, urban forestry, and project management.
  • ISA Certified arborist membership.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and asset management software.
  • Experience with CPTED and sustainable landscape practices.
