System Software Engineer

TL;DR

System Software Engineer (System Software): Designing, developing, integrating, and validating software solutions across firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, frameworks, and applications with an accent on performance, reliability, scalability, and end-to-end software quality. Location: US, Oregon, Hillsboro (on-site at the Intel site at least 4 days per week)

Salary: $127,878 - $156,740 USD (annual)

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, validate, and debug software solutions across multiple layers of the system software stack
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to translate requirements into software deliverables
• Optimize software performance, reliability, and scalability for Intel platforms and hardware features
• Build validation plans, test methodologies, and automation scripts to ensure software functionality and quality
• Analyze validation results, debug software failures, and implement corrective actions to resolve technical issues
• Support software integration, testing, and validation from presilicon development through postsilicon deployment

Requirements

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Science, or another STEM-related field with no experience; or Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) with 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
• Ability to work on-site at the Intel site at least 4 days per week in accordance with company policy
