Noise and Vibration Performance Engineer (Automotive): Integrating vehicle-level performance to meet customer expectations for Noise & Vibration (N&V) performance with an accent on structural noise, airborne noise, and squeak & rattle requirements. Focus on leading cross-functional collaboration, modernizing development techniques, and resolving complex N&V trade-offs for internal combustion and battery electric vehicle programs.

Location: Must be based in Milford, Michigan (Hybrid: expected to report to the office at least 3 times a week)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary N&V integration engineer for assigned components and subsystems.
• Develop and manage project plans for testing and establishing N&V requirements.
• Communicate results, recommendations, and trade-offs to stakeholders across multiple organizations.
• Utilize data acquisition tools like LMS and HEAD systems to plan and conduct complex testing.
• Drive continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and championing best practices.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide technical guidance on difficult issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to operate test vehicles.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Milford, Michigan.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of N&V experience.
• 3+ years of Design Release Engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Teamcenter, NX, Vis Mockup, and CAE tools.
• Advanced knowledge of N&V data acquisition systems and structural integration fundamentals.
