What you will do

• Design and evolve reusable components, patterns, and foundations to improve consistency across tribes.
• Define component behavior, states, and variants in close collaboration with engineering.
• Manage the contribution model to allow external designers to propose and ship components without breaking coherence.
• Create detailed documentation and specifications covering variants and edge cases.
• Collaborate with engineers on token strategy to link Figma designs to production code.
• Implement AI-assisted tools into daily research, prototyping, and component definition workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and maintaining design systems at scale.
• Expertise in Figma, including component libraries, variables, and tokens.
• Strong technical fluency in how design decisions translate into code.
• Experience working closely with engineers to deliver scalable, high-quality outcomes.
• Ability to justify design system decisions to stakeholders and lead other designers.
• Must be based in Porto, Portugal (as per location details).

• Strong interest in or experience with AI-assisted design or development workflows.
