What you will do

• Build a scalable and intuitive telemetry SDK for internal developers to measure product performance.
• Optimize performance by diving deep into the browser rendering pipeline, network layer, and Performance APIs.
• Define and implement measurement strategies for AI-driven user experiences where traditional patterns do not apply.
• Own the architectural direction and patterns for frontend observability across the company.
• Stay hands-on by contributing code and pushing commits directly to the monorepo.
• Drive the adoption of the telemetry SDK across various product teams through technical credibility.

Requirements

• Proven experience building telemetry, observability, or instrumentation systems at scale in production.
• Deep expertise in browser internals, including the rendering pipeline and the way browsers execute code.
• Ability to navigate high ambiguity and define solutions for unknown problems.
• Track record of building technical tooling that has been adopted at scale by other engineers.
• Production depth in React, TypeScript, and state management (e.g., MobX).
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and complexity.

Nice to have

• Production experience with React Native.
• Experience working with observability vendors such as Datadog, Honeycomb, or Sentry.
• Experience instrumenting AI-driven experiences.
