Senior Azure Integration Engineer (Backend Dev): Design, develop, and enhance Azure integration and data solutions supporting critical public sector business processes with an accent on hybrid integration chains, platform reliability, and security compliance. Location: Hybrid in the UK, ideally Northern Ireland, with Right to Work in the UK or Ireland and ability to pass public sector security vetting.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance Azure integration and data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, and other Azure services.
• Lead platform enhancement initiatives, analyze and improve integration performance, and reduce technical debt.
• Develop and troubleshoot Azure WebJobs, .NET background services, and hybrid/on-premises integrations.
• Support secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with ISO 27001 and other security frameworks.
• Participate in DevOps, CI/CD, release automation, and quality assurance activities.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point, performing root cause analysis and mentoring the engineering team.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK or Ireland with existing Right to Work and able to pass public sector security vetting.
• Proven senior experience designing and developing Azure integration and data solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on skills with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Logic Apps, C#/.NET, Azure WebJobs, and SSIS.
• Experience with hybrid integration runtimes, SFTP, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform is highly desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose complex integration chains independently.
• Familiarity with security and assurance frameworks such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and GovAssure/CAF.
