What you will do

• Test, inspect, and repair electrical components of locomotive systems and shop machinery.
• Maintain locomotive alternators, generators, motors, and AC/DC power control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair shop equipment including drop tables and electromagnetic equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure operational safety and function.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment under extreme weather conditions.
• Adhere to strict safety rules and federal/state regulations.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to report for duty in Barstow, CA.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Physical capability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
• Visual ability to distinguish specific colors (red, blue, green, yellow, lunar).
• Minimum age of 18.
