What you will do

• Engineer agent harnesses connecting powerful models with environments to perform economically valuable work.
• Drive cutting-edge AI capabilities across multiple layers of a rapidly growing agentic product suite.
• Develop infrastructure using AI models and browser technologies to advance the capability frontier.
• Maintain high quality bars for both AI agent performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and data scientists to integrate core Perplexity functionality.
• Contribute to AI evaluation, testing, and general product reliability.

Requirements

• Strong foundational familiarity with the full AI product stack.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Significant experience in context engineering, tool interfaces, post-training/RL, or browser technologies (CDP, Playwright).
• Strong product intuition and a taste for user experience excellence.
• Ability to thrive in a small, fast-moving team with a high degree of ownership.
• Must be based in or authorized to work in the U.S.

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Go, and/or Rust.
