Site Reliability Engineer

TL;DR

Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes/Terraform): Ensuring reliability, scalability, and availability of mission-critical government systems with an accent on automating operational tasks and improving system resilience. Focus on designing highly available production systems, managing SLIs/SLOs, and leading incident response.

Location: Hybrid/Remote in Arlington, VA. Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to attain DEA suitability

Salary: $230,000 - $250,000 Annually

What you will do

• Design and maintain highly available production systems to ensure mission-critical reliability.
• Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Automate operational tasks and eliminate manual processes to increase efficiency.
• Develop comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Lead incident response efforts and perform root cause analysis.
• Partner with development teams to enhance overall application reliability and resilience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of infrastructure/cloud engineering experience.
• 5–10+ years of engineering experience with a strong background in Linux and Windows systems.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud infrastructure environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, specifically Python and Go.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Active Secret clearance and ability to attain DEA suitability are mandatory.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or DevOps certifications.
• ITIL certification.
