What you will do

• Design and maintain core components of distributed storage, compute, and service platforms, including storage engines and query execution.
• Develop RPC/networking layers and distributed coordination mechanisms such as routing, partitioning, and replication.
• Partner with research and engineering teams to translate data-access and performance requirements into concrete implementations.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, ranging from correctness bugs to performance regressions.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and the productionization of new features.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, memory management, and concurrency.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 or higher) and comfort with STL.
• Solid working knowledge of UNIX/Linux development environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode) to accelerate development.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python.
• Exposure to distributed systems concepts (replication, sharding, consensus) or query/compute engines.
• Experience with columnar/analytical storage formats or RPC frameworks.
