What you will do

• Create, extend, and maintain critical systems across multiple products.
• Develop clean and highly maintainable code.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Developers to define unambiguous, pragmatic solutions.
• Engage during incidents with a strong sense of responsibility to customers and the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing and shipping production-grade Ruby and Java systems.
• 5+ years of experience developing within AWS or similar Cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of computer systems and service architectures.
• Demonstrated experience creating unit and integration tests for complex systems.
• Ability to analyze production environments, incidents, and performance for remediation.
• Fluency in English as a working language is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with eventual consistency and distributed client models.
• Experience in microservice architectures or Agile development environments.
• Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with real-time messaging systems (Pub/Sub, Kafka).
• Experience with both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) datastores (Dynamo, Redis, Firestore).
• A keen interest in API design or a Computer Sciences degree.
