What you will do

• Develop package targets and vehicle layouts for new AV and TaaS-centered platforms.
• Create platform concepts that enable multiple vehicle layouts on a common architecture.
• Partner with systems and attribute teams to resolve conflicting technical requirements using CAD analysis.
• Communicate layouts and targets to external OEM partners using 3D geometry.
• Drive executive leadership alignment on new vehicle concepts through presentations and mockups.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in automotive engineering and product development.
• 5+ years of experience in vehicle architecture and complete vehicle layout.
• Proven ability to negotiate targets and requirements with OEMs and suppliers.
• Proficiency in Catia or similar 3D CAD software.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to directors and VPs.
• Must be able to work on-site in Mountain View, California (Hybrid schedule).

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in non-traditional mobility sectors like TaaS or shared mobility.
• Background working across multiple OEMs with diverse development methodologies.
• Experience in occupant packaging specifically for electric vehicles.
