AI Business Transformation Manager

Location: Brussels Metropolitan Area, Belgium; hybrid with 8 days per month onsite in Brussels. Applicants must currently be based in Belgium.

Rate: Daily market rate, dependent on level of experience.

What you will do

• Lead complex transformation waves from initial scoping through delivery, ensuring clear objectives, stakeholder alignment, disciplined execution, and measurable outcomes.
• Structure transversal business problems, diagnose root causes, challenge assumptions, and align stakeholders around practical future-state options.
• Design or quality-assure target-state processes, service models, operating models, governance, controls, KPIs, and decision rights.
• Shape AI-enabled transformation opportunities with IT, data, architecture, and AI teams, linking technology choices to business value, adoption, and operating model impact.
• Develop transformation roadmaps, interim states, migration paths, business requirements, and benefit-realisation plans.
• Coach transformation teams and business stakeholders while improving reusable methods, templates, playbooks, and continuous-improvement practices.

Requirements

• Currently based in Belgium and able to work onsite in Brussels 8 days per month.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree or relevant professional designation is preferred.
• At least 10 years of business experience, ideally combining consulting with line-management or operational transformation experience.
• Experience leading complex transformation, process re-engineering, service redesign, or operating model redesign initiatives.
• Strong consulting, structured problem-solving, facilitation, stakeholder-management, issue-resolution, and executive-communication skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated, control-heavy, or audit-sensitive environments.
• Background in financial services or market infrastructure.
• Practical knowledge of Lean, Agile, and continuous-improvement principles.
• Affinity with AI, automation, data, and digital technologies.
