Location: Remote (US), but must be able to commute to client offices in Falls Church, VA approximately every 2 weeks

What you will do

• Lead backend microservices architecture, defining service boundaries and API contract standards.
• Direct and oversee a pod of offshore backend engineers through work assignment and code reviews.
• Design and own Azure SQL transactional cache schemas and REST API endpoints via Azure APIM.
• Implement write-path logic using Azure Service Bus to route commit actions to ERP systems.
• Manage CI/CD pipeline compliance and security scanning using Veracode.
• Lead bi-weekly sprint demos and handle backend defect triage during SIT and UAT.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of backend development experience with proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node.js.
• Ability to contribute to a React/TypeScript frontend as a full-stack engineer.
• Demonstrable experience leading or directing offshore engineering teams.
• Proficiency with Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, and Azure APIM.
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD and security-gated build processes.
• Must be eligible for W2 employment and based in the US for periodic commutes to VA.

Nice to have

• Prior experience building enterprise financial or ERP applications.
• Experience integrating with Oracle Fusion Cloud via REST/SOAP APIs.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-204 Developer or AZ-305 Solutions Architect.
