What you will do

• Investigate RNA localization and compartment-specific translation in the primary cilium.
• Apply state-of-the-art methods in transcriptomics, biochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy.
• Integrate selective ribosome profiling, proteomics, and structural approaches to define the ciliary transcriptome.
• Collaborate with multiple research groups within the Ciliopathies Flagship Research Programme.
• Develop independent research projects and present findings at scientific events.

Requirements

• PhD degree in molecular biology or a related discipline (RNA biology, biochemistry, structural biology, or cell biology).
• Proven track record of research activity in molecular biology.
• Strong background in biochemistry, mRNA translation, and cell biology.
• Independence in performing mammalian tissue culture and basic microscopy.
• Ability to optimize conditions for RNA, protein, and complex extraction.
• Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Expertise in subcellular compartment protein/RNA biology.
• Experience with RNP complex isolation (e.g., polysome profiling, immunoprecipitation).
• Familiarity with cryo-EM or cryo-electron tomography.
• Experience in transcriptomics/proteomics data analysis.
