Salary: $112,600 - $212,700 (base compensation range)

What you will do
- Own mechanical engineering activities across product development phases, from brainstorming and concept evaluation through production and design intent.
- Lead mechanical design as a domain expert, including planning, prioritizing, and delivering work autonomously within interdisciplinary projects.
- Develop manufacturable designs using DFM and DFA for both high- and low-volume products.
- Create and manage vendor-ready documentation packages (3D CAD, 2D drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions).
- Perform engineering execution such as 3D CAD modeling, analysis, and documentation, including prototyping support (e.g., 3D printing, casting, rapid tooling).
- Represent engineering depth as a senior individual contributor and mentor, and lead small teams when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and documentation, primarily in consumer electronics and similar products.
- Advanced solid and surface modeling skills with 3D software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience collaborating in multifunctional teams as the mechanical design lead.
- Knowledge of requirements and design constraints for manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, machining, and casting.
- Ability to prepare and manage vendor-ready documentation packages, including 3D CAD, 2D drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.

- Experience across startups, corporate organizations, and consulting firms.
- Exposure to product qualification, regulatory compliance, and quality management standards.
- Experience with advanced mechanical design, engineering analysis, and reliability methodologies.
- Knowledge of electronic enclosure design, thermal management, and electromechanical system integration.
- Hands-on electronics and firmware prototyping experience using off-the-shelf hobbyist components and dev kits.
