TL;DR

AI Governance Specialist (Legal/AI): Developing and managing global AI governance operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and the European AI Act. Location: Must be based in Cork, Ireland (Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site)

What you will do

• Provide pragmatic advice on the implementation of AI policies and standards to product and business teams.
• Collaborate on the creation and updating of key AI governance procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments for AI initiatives and monitor the completion of risk treatment plans.
• Analyze metrics related to the AI inventory and provide compliance reports to the governance team.
• Ensure AI projects align with Responsible AI Principles and global data protection requirements.
• Coordinate with legal, privacy, and business teams across multiple time zones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Technology, Business, or Law.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal, privacy, or compliance environment.
• Strong understanding of the European AI Act and AI governance best practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both legal and technical environments.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Nice to have

• Experience in legal or compliance for machine learning and AI technologies.
• Knowledge of Intellectual Property or Copyright law.
