What you will do
- Identify software piracy and unauthorized usage through systematic analysis of usage patterns, geolocation, and support logs.
- Manage anti-piracy cases end-to-end, from initial identification and evidence gathering to commercial or legal resolution.
- Negotiate settlements directly with customers regarding unlicensed software usage and contractual breaches.
- Lead enforcement strategies in coordination with Legal and Sales teams to align with broader account objectives.
- Develop and refine targeting strategies to identify high-risk accounts and maintain a pipeline of compliance cases.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve licensing models and detection capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in license compliance, anti-piracy, audit, investigations, or revenue assurance.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve non-compliance or unauthorized software usage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for actionable conclusions.
- Experience engaging with customers in sensitive, high-stakes, or adversarial situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting enforcement correspondence.
Nice to have
- Experience in electronic design automation (EDA) or IP licensing environments.
- Familiarity with forensic or usage-based data analysis techniques.
- Previous experience working with external audit or investigation firms.
- Understanding of enterprise software licensing models (Network, WAN, usage-based).
- Strong negotiation capability in reaching commercial settlements for complex cases.
