What you will do

• Set the technical direction and architecture for account compromise detection and remediation across Claude.
• Lead complex, multi-month engineering projects from scoping to production deployment.
• Build real-time detection systems for account takeover, credential stuffing, and API key abuse.
• Design automated response flows that minimize disruption to legitimate users.
• Lead end-to-end investigations into significant security incidents and translate findings into durable defenses.
• Drive cross-organizational alignment with Security, Product, and Policy teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in designing and operating security, anti-fraud, or anti-abuse systems.
• Proven track record of independently delivering complex, multi-month technical projects.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience making architectural decisions in adversarial domains.
• Ability to reason about large behavioral datasets and distinguish attacker patterns.
• Strong written communication skills and experience driving alignment across stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in trust and safety, platform integrity, or detection and response.
• Deep familiarity with account attack techniques and authentication systems (OAuth, SSO, MFA).
• Experience applying machine learning to fraud detection.
• Experience with cloud data tooling like BigQuery, Spark, or Airflow.
