What you will do

• Prototype and iterate on gameplay content, including game flow, interactive objects, and scripted events.
• Implement gameplay mechanics using Unreal Engine 5 Blueprints.
• Collaborate with artists and engineers to optimize content implementation and technical performance.
• Translate gameplay concepts into functional, scalable systems.
• Debug and resolve gameplay issues through continuous iteration.
• Partner with production to provide estimates and meet project milestones.

Requirements

• 5+ years of game development experience, with 2+ years as a Technical Designer.
• Expertise in Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprint scripting.
• Experience shipping at least one game, preferably in horror or narrative-driven genres.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Strong understanding of gameplay design principles.
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
