What you will do

• Design and build highly reliable backend services for transaction processing and financial operations.
• Develop scalable services for order processing, account balances, funding workflows, and reconciliation.
• Build resilient distributed systems using event-driven architectures, robust retry strategies, and idempotent processing.
• Define backend architecture, engineering standards, and long-term technical direction with leadership.
• Integrate with third-party financial institutions, banking partners, and identity verification providers.
• Develop internal operational tools to improve visibility, troubleshooting, and support workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building production backend systems.
• Strong experience designing scalable distributed systems running in production.
• Hands-on experience with Go, Java, Kotlin, Python, C#, Rust, or similar modern languages.
• Deep understanding of databases, messaging systems, caching, and event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in transactions, concurrency, retries, and failure recovery.
• English: Strong communication skills required for collaboration with international teams.
• Location: Must be based in Taipei City, Taiwan for on-site work.
