What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of complex risk platform features with high requirements for performance and reliability.
• Drive architectural decisions for risk detection and mitigation systems to balance fraud prevention with user experience.
• Collaborate with Data Science, ML, and Product teams to build real-time decisioning engines and model-driven fraud detection.
• Build AI-native risk systems using agents to automate complex detection and response workflows.
• Mentor engineers, conduct rigorous code reviews, and champion engineering best practices.
• Own system quality by addressing technical debt and leading incident response and post-mortems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience delivering high-impact systems in production.
• Deep proficiency in Go, Ruby, Python, or Java.
• Experience designing distributed systems, including microservices, event-driven architectures, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans and scalable architectures.
• Track record of leading end-to-end projects and mentoring other engineers.
• Experience leading incident response and driving operational improvements in high-availability systems.
