What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate foundational data services including cloud warehouses, data lakes, Airflow, Spark, and Kafka.
• Build and maintain data integration and processing SDKs for internal services and product teams.
• Deliver self-service applications for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Architect end-to-end data security and observability services, including access controls and usage auditing.
• Collaborate with data analysts and ML engineers to create reusable, scalable patterns for business verticals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering with production data systems or pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for backend development.
• Experience with scale-out architectures, caching layers, and columnar storage systems.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Airflow, Spark, or Kafka in production environments.
• Experience implementing data security, access control, or observability systems (lineage, cataloging).
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency and output quality.
