Federal Platform Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Federal Platform Engineer (Cybersecurity/AWS): Building and operating product infrastructure across federal environments ranging from FedRAMP to Classified workloads with an accent on scalability, security, and autonomous deployment. Focus on designing CI/CD pipelines, creating IaC modules with Terraform and Crossplane, and improving infrastructure provisioning efficiency.

What you will do

• Implement highly scalable and secure cloud-native application platforms across all AWS regions.
• Design and deploy improvements to development and deployment processes to enable confident, continuous delivery.
• Create Terraform modules and Crossplane compositions for company-wide engineering consumption.
• Develop internal platform tooling to collect telemetry data and gauge platform effectiveness.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies for automation, application hosting, and infrastructure provisioning.
• Foster a documentation-as-code culture and participate in Agile project management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering.
• US Citizenship is strictly required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Strong proficiency in GoLang (required) and Python (plus).
• Deep expertise with AWS Core Services, Kubernetes (RKE2, K3S, EKS), and Terraform.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Ansible.

Nice to have

• Experience with FedRAMP, CC SRG, NIST 800-53, or the Authority to Operate (ATO) process.
• Advanced degree (MS) in Computer Science.
