What you will do

• Review and abstract professional medical records, provider notes, and encounters.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes accurately according to national guidelines.
• Validate code support in documentation and query providers when necessary.
• Maintain strict coding quality, accuracy, and productivity metrics.
• Participate in internal and external coding audits to improve documentation processes.
• Ensure full adherence to HIPAA and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Active AAPC (CPC, COC) or AHIMA (CCS-P, CCS) certification.
• Minimum 3 years of professional fee (Pro-Fee) coding experience.
• Strong understanding of HCC and risk adjustment coding principles.
• Deep familiarity with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifier assignment.
• Proficiency in EHR systems, encoder software, and Google Suite.
