What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and core functionality for embedded point-of-sale software.
• Implement industry-standard protocols and collaborate on system-side code and kernel development.
• Create and execute automated unit tests as part of the CI pipeline.
• Analyze bug reports and manage the defect resolution process.
• Work closely with hardware counterparts on product design, I/O mapping, and manufacturing test software.
• Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality design and implementation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with embedded, mobile, or connected devices.
• Proficiency in C programming.
• Experience with multithreaded application development and embedded systems.
• Understanding of hardware-software interfaces and communication protocols like SPI, UART, I2C, and USB.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in C++ or Golang.
• Experience developing on ARM platforms.
• Knowledge of EMV, PCI standards, and retail payment technologies.
• Familiarity with low-level security architectures like TrustZone and Secure Boot.
