What you will do

• Act as Modeling Lead to mentor the VDDV group and define model standards.
• Develop CAE models using GM standard guidelines adapted for unique defense requirements.
• Perform virtual simulations for various commodities, including pre- and post-processing.
• Bridge the gap between GMNA CAE management and unique GM Defense project needs.
• Collaborate with DREs, designers, and material specialists to ensure timely model builds.
• Develop and modify automation tools to enhance efficiency in the GMD environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics.
• 5+ years of experience in product design and the CAE industry.
• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or eligible for export control authorization.
• Proficiency in pre- and post-processing tools: ANSA, Primer, LS-DYNA, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter.
• Scripting aptitude with Python, Tcl/Tk, or AI tools for automation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide global technical leadership.
