Salary: $148,000 – $185,000 CAD

What you will do

• Select, develop, and mentor a diverse team of data scientists and analytics professionals.
• Direct the engineering team in building and operating scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Lead the design and implementation of domain-specific data marts optimized for metrics and statistical modeling.
• Advise business leaders on strategic direction using data-driven insights.
• Manage resource allocation and balance technical debt with new feature development.
• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to ensure data integrity and availability.

Requirements

• 8-12+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or analytics roles.
• Proven experience managing technical professionals and guiding teams through complex problem spaces.
• Mastery of SQL and Python or R for data transformation and analysis.
• Deep knowledge of data ingestion, pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow), and database technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS services (Sagemaker, S3, Glue) and visualization tools like Tableau or Mode.
• Demonstrated familiarity with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT) for problem-solving and automation.
