Data Center Technician (Cloud Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Assemble and install racks, servers, storage, and network equipment in production and lab environments.
• Diagnose and repair hardware components, including swapping chassis, HDD, RAM, CPU, and RAID controllers.
• Install and document Ethernet and Fiber cabling for network connectivity.
• Manage asset tracking and inventory using internal tools to ensure equipment accuracy.
• Maintain power and cooling efficiency by installing PDUs, blanking plates, and sealing floor tiles.
• Work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of IT experience with an emphasis on hardware and infrastructure.
• A+ or Network+ Certification or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with hardware brands such as HP, Dell, EMC, Supermicro, IBM, and Seagate.
• General knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local colocation sites in the Kansas City area.
