Associate Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Warminster, United Kingdom; hybrid with a minimum of three days in the office each week. Flexible working hours are available.

Salary: Up to £35,000 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues to solve practical business problems.
• Build, test, and improve AI-enabled software solutions.
• Work across the engineering lifecycle, from product concepts to technical implementation.
• Use prompting, model interaction, and software engineering skills to improve outcomes.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical language.
• Explore emerging technologies and design safer, more effective AI-supported workflows, interfaces, and systems.

Requirements

• Background in software engineering, computer science, physics, engineering, data science, or a related discipline.
• Meaningful outcomes in engineering, coding, software delivery, or technical product development.
• Understanding of good engineering principles and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Genuine interest in AI, emerging technology, software delivery, and product development.
• Curiosity, resilience, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity, experimentation, and iteration.
• Strong communication, collaboration, emotional intelligence, and a maker mindset.
