Analytics Engineer

TL;DR

Analytics Engineer (Python/PySpark/SQL): Build and productionize the Databricks development environment and internal tooling that bridges data to customer-facing teams, with an accent on end-to-end ownership, ETL automation, and translating analytics into reliable solutions. What you will do

• Own the Databricks development environment and project structure for the Data Enablement team.
• Build internal tools (including AI-assisted and automated tools) to speed up data investigation and improve how customer-facing teams communicate insights.
• Productionize analyst workflows by turning analytical tools into reliable automated solutions.
• Set up and maintain Git workflows, code reviews, and deployments in GitLab; manage automated ETLs and agents.
• Identify repetitive manual work and automate it across the team.
• Use AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor or Claude) as part of the everyday development workflow.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and advanced SQL.
• Ability to take a vague, messy problem and independently plan, design, and deliver a working solution.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals (Git, continuous integration, and discipline to maintain a mostly one-person codebase).
• Good technical judgment on how much engineering a problem deserves, with analytical correctness as non-negotiable.
• Comfort working with AWS stack (or willingness to learn AWS if coming from GCP/Azure).
• Clear communication, including translating technical concepts to non-engineers.
