What you will do

• Own the end-to-end delivery of ML-powered product features, from data pipelines to production monitoring.
• Productionize research outputs from Scientists into reliable, user-facing product features.
• Build and maintain ML infrastructure, including model serving, inference pipelines, and LLM integrations.
• Collaborate with product engineers and scientists to integrate ML capabilities into the broader product experience.
• Optimize the reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of ML systems.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a meaningful focus on ML engineering or MLOps.
• Fluency in Python; working proficiency in Ruby is a plus.
• Experience operating ML systems in production, specifically model serving and inference pipelines.
• Proven track record of integrating LLMs into production systems using prompt engineering and evaluation.
• Proficiency with SQL, data infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Must be based in Portugal.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake and dbt for data transformations and analytics.
• Hands-on experience with ML pipeline tooling (Metaflow) and experiment tracking (MLflow).
• Experience with model serving frameworks like BentoML on Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka) and A/B testing.
