Functional Analyst (Tax & Accounting)

Functional Analyst (Tax & Accounting): Supporting the digital transformation of tax and accounting software products with an accent on requirements gathering, analysis modeling, and stakeholder management. Focus on bridging the gap between business users and the development team, creating standardized analysis deliverables, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in an agile environment.

Location: Hybrid (Porto, Portugal). Must be able to spend at least eight days a month at the office.

What you will do

• Collaborate within an agile development team to deliver high-quality software and support digital transformation initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to efficiently gather business requirements and understand customer needs.
• Create detailed analysis models and documentation based on requirements to guide the development team.
• Translate technical limitations to business users and provide training for new applications and features.
• Act as the primary link between the Product Owner and the development team.
• Standardize analysis methodologies and tools while mentoring junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar functional analysis role.
• Fluent English proficiency (C1) for producing documentation and professional communication.
• Experience applying traditional analysis methodologies within an agile context.
• Basic understanding of software testing and test automation.
• Must be based in or be able to commute to Porto, Portugal for hybrid work.

• Knowledge of the accounting and tax domain.
