Learning Experience Designer, Core: Designing and producing grade-level instructional materials for hirify.global’s secondary ELA curriculum with an accent on coherence across lessons, texts, and assessments and on standards-aligned pedagogy. Focus on building scopes and sequences, creating scaffolded instruction for diverse learners, and running human review of contributor- and AI-generated content to maintain quality at scale.

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 USD

What you will do

• Own grade-level leadership: resolve content and alignment issues and act as the subject-matter point of contact for your assigned grade.
• Ensure coherence and consistency across the grade-level arc, including structure, voice, rigor, and fidelity to the curriculum model.
• Develop and refine scopes and sequences, teacher- and student-facing lessons, and embedded scaffolds/differentiation for accessibility.
• Draft and improve formative and summative assessments, rubrics, and performance tasks aligned to grade-level standards.
• Lead review and quality assurance at scale for contributor- and AI-generated materials, providing editorial and pedagogical feedback.
• Collaborate with designers, writers, ELD specialists, and product/technology teams to integrate feedback and deliver work on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in secondary ELA curriculum development, instructional design, or content creation.
• Strong working knowledge of secondary ELA pedagogy and state standards/frameworks such as CCSS, including reading development, writing instruction, and assessment best practices.
• Excellent English writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce polished, standards-aligned instructional content and give clear feedback.
• Strong judgment and attention to detail for independent, well-reasoned content decisions during review.
• Comfort and fluency with AI tools to accelerate content development while maintaining pedagogical rigor.
