What you will do

• Design and implement scalable middleware APIs and core services for streaming platforms.
• Build high-performance systems in Java and Golang capable of handling thousands of requests per second.
• Optimize and maintain cloud-native services across AWS and GCP ecosystems.
• Leverage GCP technologies like Pub/Sub, GKE, and Cloud SQL for resilient system architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to define technical roadmaps and platform strategies.
• Enforce software engineering best practices and advocate for coding excellence.

Requirements

• 9+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable APIs and backend services.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Golang.
• 3+ years of experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE).
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS and GCP.
• Must be based in LATAM (Mexico, Costa Rica, or Brazil).

Nice to have

• Expertise in event-driven architectures and Kafka.
• Deep knowledge of YugabyteDB and advanced cloud-native solutions.
• Experience operating mission-critical production systems at scale.
