What you will do

• Design and build foundation models for target and drug discovery, focusing on representation learning, multimodal generative models, LLMs, and reinforcement learning.
• Integrate diverse data modalities such as molecular structures, biological sequences, omics data, and biochemical readouts.
• Bridge AI models with target discovery, experimental design, and lab-in-the-loop pipelines.
• Scale frontier AI models to massive datasets, collaborating with engineering and MLOps teams on system design and scalability.
• Publish research in top-tier ML venues and scientific journals and present at international conferences.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Biology, or a related quantitative field.
• 0–2+ years of industry or post-doc experience.
• Proven track record in large-scale representation learning, multimodal generative models, LLMs, and RL.
• Expertise in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Strong grasp of software engineering, data engineering, and MLOps best practices.
• Strong publication record in top-tier ML venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI).

Nice to have

• Practical experience bridging innovative ML methods with target/drug discovery applications.
• Experience with single-cell/omics data, perturbation biology, and multimodal biological datasets.
• Hands-on experience developing, finetuning, and optimizing LLMs and agentic systems.
