What you will do

• Act as Incident Commander to lead cross-functional teams through high-stakes service restorations.
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to guide reliability improvements and business alignment.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident review (PIR) processes to prevent recurrence.
• Develop automation strategies to reduce Mean Time to Detection (MTTD) and Recovery (MTTR).
• Mentor and train Production Engineers on incident management best practices and technical systems.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of incident response playbooks and operational KPIs.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for export authorization) due to export control regulations.
• 4+ years of experience in production engineering, cloud operations, or SRE roles.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes-based infrastructure and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and observability principles.
• Hands-on experience with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, and Terraform.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and make critical decisions under pressure.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a dedicated Incident Commander role.
• Advanced knowledge of distributed systems and self-healing infrastructure.
• Familiarity with change management and runbook automation.
